Disrepair Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Specialist to join our Group legal team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice and dealing with claims against the Group in the area of housing disrepair litigation.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a specialist within the legal team, demonstrating expertise and judgment in housing disrepair litigation.
- Review and organize the Group's legal approach to dealing with disrepair, ensuring effective and efficient resolution of claims.
- Reduce external legal spend on housing disrepair litigation by dealing with litigation and negotiating commercial settlements with customers' solicitors.
- Provide timely and accurate feedback to internal stakeholders on the costs of settlement and the time needed to settle litigation.
- Simplify complex legal materials and issues to make them understandable for colleagues.
- Review, prepare, and draft a range of documents, including standard correspondence, operational policies, and operational procedures.
- Train and develop the skills of colleagues working with disrepair, providing support to other parts of the business to understand how disrepair claims work and approaches to address them.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes by addressing disrepair issues in a business context.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive in England and Wales with 4 years PQE experience in housing disrepair litigation.
