Experienced Security Officer

Securitas Security Services is seeking a seasoned Security Officer to join our team in Dorset. As a global leader in security services, we are committed to providing comprehensive training and continuous support to our employees.
This role offers a minimum of 42 hours per week, with a 5 on 2 off followed by 4 on 3 off schedule. We are looking for a proactive and dedicated individual with a minimum of 3 years of experience in security.
The ideal candidate will possess a full SIA Licence, a reasonable commute time, and SC clearance or the ability to achieve it. They will also have the right to work in the UK and a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment.
Key Responsibilities- Meet and Greet: Greet all staff, visitors, and contractors in a professional and personable manner.
- Respond to Priorities: Respond appropriately to varying and fast-changing priorities.
- Prevent Unauthorized Access: Prevent and deter unauthorized access to the site.
- Monitor Alarms: Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV.
- Conduct External Patrols: Conduct external patrols and duties.
- Ensure Health and Safety: Ensure health and safety procedures are always followed, recording and reporting all faults, health, and safety hazards.
- Maintain Logbooks: Maintain all logbooks and records, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conducting effective handover procedures.
- Record and Report: Record and report all faults, health, and safety hazards, and unsafe working practices to management.
- Undertake Additional Duties: Undertake any other duties as requested by Management.
- Provide Support: Provide support, guidance, and information to all staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring the safeguarding of the premises.
- Remain Alert and Vigilant: Remain alert and vigilant to detect and deter any suspicious or threatening activity.
- Deal with Incidents: Deal with incidents as they arise.
- Full SIA Licence
- Reasonable commute time (or driving licence)
- 3 years security experience
- SC clearance, or able to achieve this
- Right to work in the UK
- A five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
