Security Officer

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Securitas Security Services. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing security services to our clients in Dorset.
As a seasoned Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining safety and security, responding to varying priorities, and preventing unauthorized access to the site. You will also be required to monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV, conduct external patrols, and ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a minimum of 3 years of security experience, hold a full SIA Licence, and have SC clearance or be able to achieve it. You will also need to have a reasonable commute time or a driving licence.

Key Responsibilities- Meet and greet all staff, visitors, and contractors in a professional and personable manner
- Respond appropriately to varying and fast-changing priorities
- Prevent and deter unauthorized access to the site
- Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV
- Conduct external patrols and duties
- Ensure health and safety procedures are always followed, recording and reporting all faults, health and safety hazards
- Maintain all logbooks and records, ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion, and conduct effective handover procedures
- Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards, and unsafe working practices to management
- Undertake any other duties as requested by Management
- Provide support, guidance, and information to all staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring safeguarding of the premises
- Remain alert and vigilant to detect and deter any suspicious or threatening activity
- Deal with incidents as they arise
- Full SIA Licence
- Reasonable commute time or driving licence
- 3 years security experience
- SC clearance or ability to achieve it
- Right to work in the UK
- A five-year checkable employment history or ability to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
