About the Role

Leeds City College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Assessor to join their team. As a key member of the School of Engineering, you will play a vital role in inspiring the next generation of young people into the industry.

Working at our state-of-the-art Printworks Campus, you will be responsible for visiting apprentices in the workplace, liaising with employers, mentors, and college teaching teams to ensure timely and successful completion for all students.

As a Lead Assessor, you will also be responsible for leading and supervising a team of assessors, including all duties normally associated with the management of staff such as appraisals, mentoring, and performance management.

About You

  • You will have engineering experience, preferably in the utilities sector or related industry.
  • You will have previous experience of working with young people and apprentices.
  • You will hold a minimum of Level 4 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • You will hold an assessor's award V1, TAQA, or equivalent.
  • A recognised teaching qualification is desirable.
