Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme

Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available

Salary: £120 - £140 per day

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified SEN teacher to join our team at an SEN school in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme. As a SEN teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personalized Support: Assist children and young people in the classroom with their academic work and social skills development.
  • Lesson Planning: Develop tailored lesson plans for each student based on their abilities and unique needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to provide comprehensive support.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to the varying needs of pupils, celebrating their achievements and progress.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Must hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
  • Empathy: Approach each student with patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team and with students.
  • Safeguarding: Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Pupil Ages and Needs

The school caters to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, emotional and behavioural disorders, and learning disabilities or difficulties. As a qualified SEN teacher, you will play a vital role in helping these students thrive academically and personally.
