As a Product Development Manager at Traka (Assa Abloy), you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing product strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. With a strong emphasis on hardware platform definition, you will identify market opportunities, collect and document customer needs, and analyze the competitive landscape to inform product development decisions.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, engineers, and stakeholders, to clarify requirements, validate engineering responses, and drive product definition into our new product introduction (NPI) and innovation development processes. Your expertise in physical access control hardware and understanding of the competitive market landscape will enable you to develop a world-class access controller product line that meets the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovation and differentiation for our products by understanding customer and market problems, competitive positioning, and technology trends.
  • Interface with partners, end customers, and internal stakeholders to aggregate voice of customer input and prioritize product development amongst numerous priorities.
  • Perform competitive analysis, identify opportunities to differentiate and win, and drive ideas and collaboration amongst the development team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing, sales, and product development efforts to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product launches and existing product lines, including developing pricing strategies and supporting the development of channel strategies.
  • Work with developer support staff and product owners to identify necessary product documentation and support requirements, focused on OEM developers and the access control installer community.

Requirements:

  • Product development expertise from concept to product launch.
  • Ability to make difficult trade-offs and intelligent risk-taking.
  • Strategic thinking and effective management on complex projects.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional interaction with Sales, Quality, Finance, and Operations.
  • Effective communication in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to present ideas and projects before groups of individuals.
  • Additional major international languages are a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with CRM tools and analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's is beneficial but not required).
  • Product Management experience across multiple customer types, technologies, and product development methodologies.

Work Requirements:

  • Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
  • Travel and fieldwork, including international travel, therefore employee must possess or can acquire a valid passport/visa.
