In your position as a Kitchen Assistant at HC-One, you will be part of a team that values one thing above all - kindness. This principle carries across every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and serving nutritious, healthy meals to our residents.
- Demonstrate the highest standards in cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene.
- Maintain food supplies and fridge/freezer temperatures.
- Show new starters how to use kitchen equipment.
- Scrub and clean kitchen areas, including ovens and other equipment.
Requirements:
- Some kitchen experience is preferred, but not essential.
- Either an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation or the willingness to study for one.
- Great record-keeping and organisational skills.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
- Considerate and kind when communicating with residents and colleagues.
