About the Role

The Engineering Stores Supervisor - Operations Manager will oversee the daily management of the Engineering Stores to ensure all required parts and consumables are available to facilitate efficient completion of planned and corrective maintenance.

This role will provide direct oversight of stock and non-stock parts ordering, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of spare parts. The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering Compliance Manager to improve the daily operational reliability of the Engineering Stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers and third-party contractors to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and materials.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise a team of CMMS administrators responsible for creating spare parts data in SAP, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintenance Planning: Collaborate with the Engineering Maintenance Planner to ensure all required parts are available for upcoming planned maintenance activities.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve supply chain issues, working closely with Procurement and Accounts Payable teams.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Engineering Stores operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Higher National Certificate or equivalent Level 4 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Supervisory experience managing teams, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of cGMPs and manufacturing operations in FDA-regulated facilities is preferred.
