Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Adult Acute Mental Health team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients with acute mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based care and interventions to patients and their families.
  • Act as a named nurse to a group of patients, working under the direction of the ward manager and deputy ward manager.
  • Participate in therapeutic group work programs and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
  • Take charge of the ward in the absence of the ward manager and deputy ward manager.
  • Assess care needs and contribute to the formulation of care plans, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide nursing interventions to support patients in achieving their goals, coordinating and participating in the review of progress towards those goals.

Person Specification
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse and active on NMC Register.
  • Experience of formulating assessments, planning, coordinating, and supporting people within a hospital setting.
  • Experience of providing care and interventions within a health setting, including specialist mental health settings.
