About the Role

We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our team at Park School, a specialist day school for boys and girls aged 7-18 with social, emotional, and mental health needs. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and support to our pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach English to pupils with SEMH needs, using a therapeutic approach to promote academic achievement and personal growth.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of our school's curriculum and educational programs.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs, preferably in a therapeutic setting.
  • Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and educational standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with colleagues, pupils, and parents.
