About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at Jackson Civil Engineering. As a Senior Engineer, Quality, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our highway schemes and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake day-to-day setting out duties with minimal supervision
  • Train, manage, and mentor Junior Engineers to develop their skills and expertise
  • Manage and monitor site sample and performance testing requirements, maintaining records in line with contract specifications
  • Complete hazard and risk assessments, and develop method statements to ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist the site QS/Project Manager in providing relevant information for records and claims purposes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies, and company procedures
Requirements
  • Previous experience of highways schemes, including structures, with a main contractor
  • CSCS card in the appropriate discipline
  • Desirable: CITB SMSTS/SSSTS qualification
  • Full UK driving license, with a willingness to travel throughout our Southern Region
