Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, based on experience

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an IT Support Specialist to join a leading engineering firm. This role is based in a dynamic environment where you will collaborate closely with the Group IT Manager.


As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for all IT-related inquiries and issues, ensuring that systems remain fully operational across the organization. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support to colleagues.
  • Troubleshooting various devices, including PCs, laptops, tablets, and AV equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving both hardware and software challenges.
  • Installing and configuring IT equipment to meet organizational needs.
  • Managing user access and permissions through Windows Active Directory, Azure, and O365 Exchange.
  • Conducting software and hardware upgrades while maintaining asset registers.
  • Offering assistance to staff in utilizing IT equipment and software effectively.
  • Overseeing server and network infrastructure management.
  • Performing routine maintenance on all IT assets to ensure optimal performance.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A proven background in desktop support or IT support roles.
  • Experience in delivering 1st and 2nd line support.
  • Relevant IT certifications or Microsoft qualifications.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
  • Familiarity with Office 365, Azure, and TEAMS administration.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Windows 10/11.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, VPN).
  • Skills in installing and configuring software and hardware.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
