About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our development team, you will be working on challenging projects with the UK Government, utilizing your expertise in Oracle and PL-SQL to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Oracle Web-based applications for local authorities and central government clients in the UK
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy software solutions
  • Write efficient and well-documented PL/SQL code, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our development processes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development, applying this knowledge to enhance our solutions
Requirements
  • Proven experience in full life cycle development of large applications using an Oracle database and toolset
  • Strong PL/SQL skills, with experience in writing design specifications, problem-solving, and performance tuning
  • Experience with web design and use of Oracle Apex
  • Appreciation of application and data security
  • Relevant Computer Science or Technical Degree
  • Experience with technologies including XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, HTML, and CSS
