About the Role

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Chadwick Lodge and Eaglestone View. As a Senior Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the facilities and equipment are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our service users, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance to identify and address any faults or defects.
  • Liaise with contractors and manage maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Participate in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance and respond to urgent requests.
  • Coordinate and support contractors on site, ensuring all necessary paperwork and tool checks are completed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a healthcare or secure services setting.
  • Strong DIY skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, contractors, and service users.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.
