About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Chadwick Lodge in Milton Keynes. As a Senior Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the facilities are safe and well-maintained for our service users, staff, and visitors.

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for conducting regular audits to identify and repair any faults, ensuring a safe environment for everyone. You will also work closely with contractors to support the upkeep of the service and turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Utilize good DIY skills to ensure the safety of service users is maintained.
  • Assist in regular checks and maintenance.
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
  • Assist in all decorating.
  • Liaise with a manager to report all faults and defects.
  • Participate in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
  • Coordinate and support contractors while on site and complete all paperwork and tool checks.

Requirements

  • Comply with systems and procedures.
  • Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure they receive the highest quality of service.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

About the Team

You will be working at Chadwick Lodge and Eaglestone View, a medium and low secure service providing specialist treatment programs for service users who have been detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) and have a history of offending behavior.
