About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Cromwell House Community Mental Health Team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based occupational therapy services to support the recovery of individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop tailored intervention plans to support service users' recovery.
  • Work closely with a defined caseload of service users, providing expert occupational therapy services and promoting independence and well-being.
  • Lead on delivering recovery-focused groups in the community, promoting social inclusion and community engagement.
  • Support the line management of junior occupational therapy staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Person Specification
  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience working as a qualified Occupational Therapist in a mental health setting.
  • Experience of working with individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs.
  • Desirable: experience of working in a community mental health setting, understanding of using MOHO, knowledge of working with psychosis.
