Job Summary:

Creative Support is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to lead our team in providing person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, some of whom have autism spectrum conditions and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Respectful Support: Offer respectful personal care, emotional, and practical support to service users, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with service users, families, and the multi-disciplinary team to maximize service user outcomes and promote a culture of collaboration and respect.
  • Implement Creative Support Principles: Ensure that the service adheres to Creative Support's principles, policies, procedures, and guidelines, and that the service meets the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Supervise and Support Staff: Supervise and support staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care and support to service users.
  • Support Service User Outcomes: Support service users to have the opportunity for a full and happy life, and to be safe and well.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Essential experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Driving Licence: A clean, valid driving licence and access to a car are desirable but not essential.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including evenings and weekends.
