Senior Water Hygiene Engineer - Competitive Salary

We are seeking a skilled water hygiene engineer to oversee water quality management and sampling processes across a variety of premium residential properties.

This position involves visiting multiple sites to perform essential Legionella maintenance, including planned preventative maintenance (PPM), cleaning, sampling, monitoring, and minor plumbing tasks, all while ensuring compliance with client specifications and maintaining high standards of detail.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct flushing and descaling of outlets, monitor temperatures, and perform routine checks in accordance with ACOP L8/HSG 274 Control Regime.

- Carry out inspections and surveys of cold water storage tanks (CWST), including cleaning and disinfection.

- Perform sampling in accordance with BS7592 for Legionella bacteria in various property sectors.

- Manage the return of samples from laboratories, coordinate remedial work with subcontractors, and ensure timely and safe completion of tasks.

- Maintain accurate water logbooks for clients and complete necessary documentation in line with current regulations and company policies.

- Communicate effectively with the service department to ensure all tasks are executed efficiently and maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of all equipment.

- Complete all required reporting on-site.

To excel in this role, you will need:
  • A solid understanding of ACOP L8 & HSG 274 parts 1, 2, 3
  • Capability to complete documentation and provide recommendations based on service visits
  • A willingness to learn and undertake additional training
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office
Compensation Package:

Competitive salary range of £38,000 to £42,000
