Transformation Unit Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Transformation Unit as a key member of our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will provide medical leadership to our Tier 4 team, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to young people with complex mental health needs.
Main Responsibilities- Assess and treat young people with acute, complex, and high-risk presentations
- Provide medical leadership and guidance to junior doctors and other team members
- Participate in the training and development of junior doctors and other team members
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Registration with the General Medical Council and on the Specialist Register
- Meets Royal College of Psychiatrists criteria for appointment to the post of Consultant
- Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician Status
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment
- Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
- Makes decisions based on evidence and experience
- Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA
