About the Role

We are seeking two Graduate Academic Mentors - Unqualified to join our school community. As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic development of our students, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support to students in small groups and one-to-one settings, focusing on raising attainment and improving academic progress.
  • Work across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, assisting pupils inside and outside the classroom, and helping with exam preparation and revision sessions.
  • Assist pupils with university applications and provide guidance on higher education options.
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive relationships between students, teachers, and other staff members.
Person Specification

We are looking for individuals who possess a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education. As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you will be expected to:

  • Hold a 1st Class or 2:1 degree from a top university.
  • Have a strong academic background, with a proven track record of academic achievement.
  • Be hardworking and committed to helping all students excel.
  • Be perfect for a future secondary teacher, with a desire to develop your teaching skills and experience.
