Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Academic Support Assistant to join our team at a top-tier secondary school in Southwark. As an Academic Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their academic development, particularly in Key Stages 3-5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support to students in various subjects, including English, Maths, Science, Geography, History, and Business Studies.
  • Lead small refresher sessions for students who are struggling with their work.
  • Work closely with teachers to identify areas where students need additional support.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student engagement and motivation.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • 1st Class or 2:1 Degree from a reputable University.
  • Strong academic record, particularly in the subjects mentioned above.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Confidence and enthusiasm for working with students of all ages and abilities.
