This fast-paced transport operation requires a skilled professional to maintain a safe, legal, and compliant fleet.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Transport Compliance Supervisor to join our team at Michael Page (UK). As a key member of our logistics department, you will report directly to the Transport Manager and Head of Logistics. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the company's transport operation adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, legal, and compliant transport operation, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Compile and circulate a daily fleet utilization and availability report to inform operational decisions.
- Manage all periodic and ad-hoc fleet repairs and maintenance, including defect rectification, breakdowns, and spare parts replenishment.
- Develop and implement cost-effective and efficient solutions to maintain a roadworthy fleet.
- Control all temporary and permanent fleet amendments, including vehicle condition checks and registration to relevant accounts and portals.
- Investigate all driver and vehicle-related accidents, incidents, claims, and convictions, maintaining effective communication with our motor insurance provider.
- Ensure the upkeep of all professional organizations and accreditations.
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in transport compliance and/or supervisor roles.
- Experience managing transport compliance for a mixed fleet of over 20+ vehicles.
- Proven experience in transport servicing, maintenance schedules, and fleet management.
- Experience with FORS, VOSA, and Operators Licence Awareness is advantageous.
- CPC qualification is desirable, but not essential if you have the necessary compliance skills.
