Teaching Personnel is collaborating with a primary institution in Southport to recruit a passionate and dedicated Year 4 Educator to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover agreement. This position presents an exciting opportunity to engage with a dynamic group of students and play a vital role in their educational development during the Autumn and Spring terms of the academic year.

Role Overview

As the Year 4 Educator, you will be tasked with delivering high-quality instructional sessions that captivate and challenge students, nurturing a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. You will design, prepare, and evaluate educational activities to ensure that all students achieve excellent progress in their learning journey. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with colleagues to uphold consistency and continuity in the students' education throughout the maternity cover duration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement engaging and tailored lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all students.
  • Evaluate, monitor, and document students' progress, providing regular feedback to students and guardians.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with the Year 4 team and other staff members to ensure a seamless transition and continuity in teaching.
  • Manage classroom behavior in accordance with the institution's policies, promoting a constructive learning atmosphere.
  • Engage in staff meetings, parent consultations, and school events as necessary.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all students, adhering to institutional policies and procedures.
Person Specification

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally with Year 4.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and guardians.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Experience in delivering creative and innovative lessons that incorporate technology and other resources.
  • A passion for contributing to the wider school community.
