This role is integral to the Product Delivery Team, which is responsible for overseeing technical project management, business analysis, and ensuring that all IT initiatives are executed efficiently and effectively.
The broader IT Department manages all technology-related functions within the organization, including User Support, Infrastructure, Network, Security, Product Delivery, Data Systems, and Development Teams.
Understanding Business Goals:
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and productivity. Conduct thorough analyses of the business landscape, industry trends, and internal processes to pinpoint areas for improvement and growth.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Foster awareness of requirements across various business units and identify ineffective systems and processes through comprehensive data evaluation.
Process Review and Enhancement:
Lead the creation of technical business processes and develop system prototypes to boost efficiency and productivity. Utilize skills such as process mapping and analysis to refine processes and eliminate redundancies.
Communication & Collaboration:
Partner with the Product Delivery Team lead and the Projects and Development team to establish a robust Business Analysis framework that aligns with the organization's Project Board and internal IT project methodologies.
Data Analysis and Decision Support: Leverage data analysis to provide insights that facilitate informed decision-making during project scoping. Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to assist stakeholders in strategic planning, risk assessment, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
End-to-End Delivery: Ensure adherence to a strong Agile project management methodology for all IT projects. Collaborate with team members across various business areas to analyze and design projects, including initial documentation, periodic reviews during implementation, and technical governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Work closely with the Test Lead to conduct, assess, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of project execution. Determine and develop user requirements for systems and projects to ensure optimal usability.
Engage with stakeholders across business units to collaboratively develop analyses and documentation, effectively communicating with operational, managerial, and executive teams as necessary. Author and update both internal and external documentation, initiating and delivering requirements and documentation in accordance with Project Board processes.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a Level 4 Business Analyst qualification, with ideally 2+ years of relevant experience. High proficiency in technical writing, including UML, Process Modeling, Wireframing, and Prototyping is essential. Proven ability to manage projects and user testing, along with experience in data visualization and analytics, is required. A strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio or similar tools, is also necessary.
