Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Underwriter to join our team at Stride Resource Management Ltd. As a Commercial Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in underwriting general commercial business, mainly renewals, and supporting new business quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Renewal underwriting for an allocation of accounts
  • Support the new business process, and as you gain more experience, potential to become a focal point
  • Manage day-to-day underwriting queries, ensuring a high-quality service to our supporting broker offices
  • Engage with risk management initiatives where appropriate

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of commercial underwriting experience, whether with an insurer, MGA, or under a delegated authority
  • Cert CII is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills, as much of this role is about positive attitude and endeavour
  • Strong attention to detail, to ensure high standards of underwriting are maintained
