Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Coordinator / Advisor to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As an HR Coordinator / Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the HR Manager in managing the day-to-day HR duties, including employee lifecycle administration, recruitment/onboarding, and 1st line HR support/advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR activities, including recruitment, leavers, flexible working requests, training, and Performance Development Plans (PDPs).
  • Schedule and administer Personal Development Plan meetings and training with Managers and staff.
  • Employee Relations (ER) work, including note-taking in meetings, follow-up documentation, and assisting with Investigations.
  • Provide 1st line HR advice/support, including day-to-day HR queries, holidays, clocking in system, wages, and other HR-related matters.
  • Coordinate HR records on training, including for new starters.
  • Populate the HR clocking and management system with all staff details.
  • Produce monthly reports on HR statistics.
  • Support in the recruitment and onboarding of new temporary and permanent employees.
  • Other HR departmental administration, including company car administration, vehicle insurance, vehicle check sheets, and private mileage.
  • Plan company events, such as parties and Christmas events.
  • Facilitate hotel bookings and conference bookings.
  • Prepare for and facilitate meetings with VIP visitors.
  • Assist with payroll when required.
  • Assist the HR Manager with projects, such as the new "Document Digitisation" and inputting to relevant HR systems.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an HR Administrator or Coordinator, with a passion and drive to develop further.
  • Ideal CIPD Level 3 qualification (or studying towards).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with people at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented, used to working to deadlines, and able to digest large volumes of information to provide feedback to the business.
