Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our clients. You will be working on a variety of projects, including new-builds, renovations, and fit-outs, as well as bespoke environmental designs that result in more efficient buildings.

Responsibilities:
  • Design mechanical services, including heating, cooling, ventilation, hot and cold water systems, and above ground drainage.
  • Prepare and develop concept, feasibility, and detailed design proposals, including specifications, drawings, and calculations.
  • Conduct thermal modeling and energy calculations using IES or TAS software.
  • Work proficiently in AutoCAD 2D and have knowledge of Revit or the desire to learn.
  • Develop strong technical expertise within mechanical building services design, gained working within the UK building services industry for either a consultancy or contractor.
  • Stay up-to-date with UK design legislation and guidance.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' Mechanical services design experience in the UK.
  • Proficiency in IES or TAS software.
  • A minimum HNC/HND level in building services or mechanical engineering or degree equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • High standard of written and verbal English.
