Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer – Propulsor Division

Location: UK

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Propulsor Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing composite structures for our propulsors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop composite structures for our propulsors
  • Develop and maintain internal procedures and evidence of compliance through written calculations and reports
  • Lead and support the identification and rapid closure of issues emerging from all product lifecycle stages
  • Support technical development and research activities, methods, and acceptance criteria, liaising with industrial partners and external customers as necessary
  • Provide realistic programme status, identify problem areas, and implement agreed recovery plans
  • Support junior engineers within the team
  • Support installation activities in the production environment

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree (or related STEM degree)
  • Understanding of material strength properties (elastic and plastic properties)

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of MatLab or MathCad
  • Experienced in the use of SolidWorks design software (training can be provided)
  • Comfortable supporting in production environments
