Design Engineer Job Description

Framatome is a leading international company in the nuclear energy sector, recognized for its innovative solutions and value-added technologies. We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team in the Design Office in Avonmouth or Cranfield, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, including 2D and 3D designs, calculations, and bill of materials.
  • Deliver the design package through its lifecycle, ensuring all requirements are populated, reviewed, and prioritized.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and specificities for preliminary and detailed design.
  • Participate in design reviews and HSE activities to assess modifications and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Implement solutions identified during design reviews and ensure the production of design deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and document revision control.
  • Knowledge of design codes and Eurocode 3.
  • Calculation skills, including hand calculations and Excel.
  • Experience working in the nuclear industry.
