Job Title: Apprentice Structural Engineer

ABMI France, a leading engineering consulting firm, is seeking a talented Apprentice Structural Engineer to join our team. With over 35 years of experience, we have established ourselves as a trusted partner in the industry, delivering innovative solutions to our clients.

The successful candidate will be based in Bristol and will work on a permanent contract. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing building-specific documents, raising and following up on technical open points, and supporting the civil building lead and contract engineering lead in coordination with civil designers and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing building-specific documents, such as handover reports and hypothesis notes.
  • Raising and following up on building-specific technical open points as the first point of contact for the L3 civil designer.
  • Supporting the civil building lead and contract engineering lead in coordination with civil designers and other stakeholders for producing the design.
  • Coordinating and carrying out the resolution of building-specific technical topics and tracking the evolution of these activities in their scope of activity.
  • Supporting the contract engineering lead for the preparation of progress reports for the Client Project Manager and alerts of any technical risks to the program.
  • Supporting the contract engineering lead for reviewing technical proposals for variations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering.
  • Civil engineering design office experience, particularly in the design and detailing of industrial reinforced concrete structures.
  • Experience in the nuclear sector would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering.
  • Knowledge of the design and detailing of reinforced concrete.
