About Market Recruitment Ltd

Founded in 1982, initially operating as a small family enterprise, the company expanded its workforce in 1990 and offers a diverse range of products in the DIY and home improvement sectors, alongside a B2B channel catering to specifiers, local authorities, and construction contractors.

The organization is currently embarking on an exciting growth journey and is assembling a marketing team dedicated to strengthening its brand presence among consumers while also supporting its established B2B operations.

The role

In this position, you will oversee a newly formed team of five marketing professionals, manage the marketing strategy and budget, and play a key role in helping the company achieve its growth objectives.

  • Strategic Planning: You will be accountable for developing and executing the marketing strategy with a focus on both B2C and B2B channels.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with and provide support to the sales team.
  • Brand Development: Design and implement initiatives to enhance brand recognition and drive sales among consumers (including social media, digital marketing, PR, etc.).
  • Customer Experience: Cultivate a customer experience that reflects the brand's personality.
  • B2B Marketing: Develop campaigns and create sales support materials tailored for B2B channels.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and guide a team of five individuals.
  • Budget Management: Oversee and report on a marketing budget of £750k.

Qualifications for Success

  • Proven marketing experience within the construction, DIY, or home improvement sectors.
  • Experience in both B2C and B2B markets.
  • Strong background in social media advertising.
  • Familiarity with Hubspot (or similar platforms) as well as tools like GA4, Google Ads Manager, and Meta Ads Manager.
  • Demonstrated experience in people management.
