Employee Relations Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at Capita. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in providing specialist HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent and high-quality HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on employment law, policies, and procedures.
- Facilitate a proactive approach to absence management, ensuring a smooth return to work for employees.
- Raise awareness of the importance of undertaking risk assessments, including maternity, DSE, and stress assessments, to support the business in managing mental health issues and creating a healthy work environment.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording and management of ER cases on the case management system.
- Act as the initial point of escalation from the ER Assistants.
Requirements
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- ER Advisory experience, with a good working knowledge of employment law, policies, and procedures.
- CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
- Shared service centre experience desirable.
- Excellent written and telephone communication skills.
- Well-organized, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and excellent attention to detail.
