Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at 6 Weld Road. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement nutritious and flavoursome menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Liaise with residents to ensure their choices are reflected in the menu and that they have a say in the food they eat.
  • Work collaboratively with our care team to ensure that our food services align with our person-centred approach to care.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, and that our kitchen is a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a chef in a residential care setting or similar environment.
  • Strong culinary skills, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality food services that promote the health and well-being of our residents.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, working 30 hours per week. The role will involve working a variety of shifts, including some weekends, to ensure that our kitchen is always fully staffed and able to meet the needs of our residents.
