About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our CAMHS team in Mid-Essex. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments, interventions, and support to children and young people with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people's mental health needs, including risk and safety planning.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including CBT, DBT, trauma-informed practice, and EMDR.
  • Provide supervision and support to band 6 staff, promoting their professional development and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, psychologists, and family therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service-wide initiatives, promoting best practice and improving outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements
  • Registered mental health professional with a relevant qualification (e.g., nursing, psychology, social work, family therapy, or psychotherapy).
  • Experience of working with children and young people with complex mental health needs, including risk and safety planning.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, promoting collaboration and communication.
  • Strong leadership and supervision skills, with experience of supporting and developing staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with children, young people, and their families.
