Assistant Manager - Children's Care Services

The primary objective of the Assistant Manager role is to support the Registered Manager in fostering a nurturing, stable, and compassionate environment for young individuals, promoting their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth to help them achieve their full potential.

We are seeking an Assistant Manager for one of our Children's Homes, which currently accommodates young individuals facing complex social, emotional, and behavioral challenges stemming from adverse childhood experiences. You will collaborate with the Registered Manager to lead a dedicated team in delivering high standards of care and support, ensuring the safety and advocacy of our young residents.

A keen attention to detail is essential, as our commitment to safeguarding and service quality remains our top priority.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in children's residential care
  • QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People or equivalent - ESSENTIAL
  • Level 5 in Leadership & Management (preferred but not essential)
  • Driver (company provides a vehicle during working hours)
  • 3 office days and 1 long day supporting the young residents.

Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant Manager will assist the Registered Manager in the following areas:

  • Supervising Team Leaders and new staff members
  • Completing assessment reports and 6-weekly evaluations
  • Supporting the referral process
  • Participating in on-call duties on a rotating basis
  • Aligning the Registered Manager's vision across the team, including educational aspects.
