Job Title: British Sign Language Teacher

Deafway is seeking a qualified British Sign Language (BSL) teacher to join our team. As a BSL teacher, you will be responsible for delivering BSL Level 1 and Level 2 classes to staff and external students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver BSL Level 1 and Level 2 classes to staff and external students.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver BSL Level 1 and Level 2 classes.
  • Register your qualifications with Signature and liaise with them in relation to all course requirements.
  • Keep records of all training undertaken, including numbers of people trained, assessment/exam pass rates, and other relevant information.
  • Work to all organizational policies and procedures, guidelines, and standards required.
  • Be aware of and ensure confidentiality of information.
  • Assist in promoting and maintaining your own and others' Health and Safety and security as defined in the Health and Safety Policy.
  • Work effectively as part of the team, ensuring effective working relationships.
  • Complete mandatory training provided by Deafway.
