We are partnering with a leading chemical manufacturer to find a highly skilled SHE Manager to join their team.
Job Purpose:
The SHE Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the company's UK facilities, while maintaining the highest standards in Safety, Health, Environmental, Industrial Quality, Security, and Regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the company's UK expert team for Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and implement SHEQ&S policies and standards, monitoring future issues to inform business strategy.
- Manage external regulatory interactions, including HSE, EA, and BSI.
- Oversee regulatory licenses and permits, such as COMAH and EPR.
- Support process safety management and behavioral safety improvements.
- Oversee technical training and competence management systems.
Requirements:
- Degree in a chemical or scientific discipline.
- NEBOSH diploma or equivalent professional safety and health qualification.
- 10 years' experience in a production or operations environment, including 3 years in a regulatory position for an upper tier COMAH site (or equivalent).
- Experience managing SHEQ&S professionals.
- Proven experience with management systems, such as ISO 9001/14001/45001.
