We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our team at Vistry Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to our projects, ensuring that we deliver high-quality results while minimizing costs and maximizing value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all costs associated with our projects, including procurement, subcontract management, and budget control.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure that costs are accurately estimated and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to minimize project costs and enhance margin and value.
  • Prepare and present cost reports and analyses to stakeholders, including project managers, directors, and clients.
  • Work closely with our procurement team to negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements, ensuring that we achieve the best possible prices and terms.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that we achieve our cost management objectives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Cost Manager or equivalent role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Professional membership of a relevant industry association, such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
