Job Title: UK Customer Integration Manager (Flight Simulators)

Salary: £54,793+ based on skills and experience



Key Responsibilities:



Engineering Oversight: Direct and facilitate Engineering Life Cycle Management Reviews (internal assessments) and Green Star reviews involving the UK MoD (RAF and DE&S). Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure all necessary engineering contributions for the review are prepared and meet the required maturity for the lifecycle phase.
Client Acceptance: Oversee customer acceptance processes for the initial delivery of training devices and subsequent capability enhancements. Post-acceptance, ensure all essential documentation is produced to facilitate the transfer of capability.
Product Safety Assurance: Partner with BAES product safety experts to ensure that the capability is developed and managed in accordance with the BAES product safety framework, and that the product safety case is established to support capability delivery.
Product Security Management: Collaborate with BAES and MOD security specialists to guarantee that the capability accreditation is achieved and sustained. Participate in regular MOD-led Security Working Group meetings to ensure a shared understanding and progress on security-related matters.
Human Factors Integration: Work alongside BAES Human Factors specialists to ensure that capability development and delivery adhere to the MOD human factors process. Attend regular BAES/MOD Human Factors Working Group meetings to ensure a shared understanding and advancement of human factors-related issues.

Required Skills and Experience:



A degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent demonstrable and relevant experience)
Knowledge and experience in Systems Engineering and Engineering lifecycle
Outstanding communication skills and stakeholder engagement
Project Management experience in an Engineering context
A robust Engineering background

About the Typhoon UK Capability Team:


An opportunity exists within the Typhoon UK capability team focused on delivering next-generation synthetic training devices (flight simulators) to the Royal Air Force. You will play a pivotal technical role in integrating the outputs of BAE Systems engineering teams to meet the demanding requirements of our clients. This role necessitates engagement with customer stakeholders to manage technical reviews and program deliverables, fostering a collaborative approach.


You will report to the UK Programme Engineering Manager and be accountable for technical integration throughout the entire development lifecycle.
