What you’ll be doing:



  • Support engineering integration activities across MSDT (Mission Systems Delivery Team) contracts
  • Provide engineering integration across functions to manage the MSDT capability
  • Drive the adoption of Atlassian Toolsets, at all levels of management across MSDT and Team Tempest, for Capability Management and business reporting
  • Facilitate and coordinate engineering management and technical management meetings with internal Engineering/Project Managers
  • Lead and promote transformation across MSDT leading a virtual team of MSDT change ambassadors
  • Support knowledge sharing and collaboration activities/forums around Agile, transformation and engineering best practice within the wider BAE Systems teams
  • Build and develop strong working relationships with other team members and stakeholders
  • Mentor junior members of the Engineering Integration Team

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:



  • A degree, HND or equivalent and previous experience in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Be pro-active, autonomous, diligent, and have strong team-working & communications skills and be committed to a transformative culture
  • Experience and/or desire to work in a collaborative environment with Customers and across internal functional teams

Desirable:



  • Experience in the Atlassian Toolset (Jira and Confluence)
  • Working knowledge of Agile Scrum practices (Scrum Master and/or Product Owner experience/qualification)

The Missions Systems Delivery team:


We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Engineering Integration Engineer to join the MSDT Engineering Capability Integration Team. MSDT is a large capability team that designs, develops and delivers PYRAMID based mission system and software product solutions for multiple internal and external programmes and contracts. The Engineering Capability Integration team is responsible for many different engineering activities across the capability team including, strategy management, capability management, business reporting, transformation/continuous improvement, Agile strategy, resourcing strategy, communication strategy, quality and governance.


This role provides exposure to many different engineering areas, levels of engineering management and stakeholders across BAE.
