Role Overview:
As a Specialized Educational Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance to students with diverse learning needs in specialized educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Support for Students with Autism:**
- Engage with students across various learning activities tailored to their individual needs.
- Foster relationships and establish consistent routines to enhance learning experiences.
- Utilize effective communication strategies to connect with non-verbal students and those with complex needs.

2. **Assistance in PMLD Environments:**
- Collaborate with expert staff to support children with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
- Participate in skill development initiatives to enhance your professional capabilities.

3. **Behavioral and Emotional Support:**
- Create a nurturing atmosphere that adapts to the unique requirements of each student.
- Assist students in developing both academic and life skills while promoting self-esteem and emotional regulation.
- Receive training to effectively manage challenging behaviors and de-escalate situations.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A caring and professional demeanor when working with children with special educational needs.
- An Enhanced DBS certificate (support available for obtaining this).
- Two references from the past two years.
