Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Grants Writer and Coordinator to lead our efforts in securing funding from trusts and foundations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to increase our income from these sources, with a focus on securing high-value grants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a grants strategy aligned with the charity's strategic objectives and income targets.
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with key funders, including trusts, foundations, and grant-making organizations.
  • Research and write high-quality grant proposals, ensuring a strong understanding of the charity's work and its impact.
  • Coordinate and manage the grant application process, including preparing and submitting applications, and ensuring timely reporting to funders.
  • Work closely with the CEO and other stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of the charity's needs and priorities, and to identify opportunities for grant funding.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising, with a strong track record of securing high-value grants.
  • Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality grant proposals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of the charity sector and the grants landscape, with a strong understanding of the needs and priorities of trusts and foundations.
