Job Summary:
Morgan Ryder Associates Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical equipment and services at our manufacturing plant in Greater Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance, service, repair, and upgrade of all electrical equipment necessary for manufacturing operations.
- Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support the procurement of electrical equipment and services, including high-voltage switching requirements and schedules.
- Manage contractors and ensure they are properly trained and equipped to perform electrical work.
- Develop and implement engineering documentation, including permits to work, risk assessments, and training documentation.
- Conduct regular safety audits and provide ongoing technical support and training to electrical engineers.
- Purchase and replace obsolete electrical equipment and parts.
- Investigate and resolve electrical equipment breakdowns and implement improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship, L3 qualification or equivalent.
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical equipment and power supply in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and instructions.
- Highly organized with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office tools.
- HV Qualification AP15 advantageous, training can be provided.
