About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Carers Support Specialist. As a key member of our Community Mental Health Team, you will play a vital role in supporting and improving the wellbeing of families and carers of our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the team in providing collaborative carer-centred care, focusing on recovery and empowerment.
  • Work closely with carers to understand their needs and provide tailored support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carers, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of carer-focused initiatives and services.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision, group reflective practice, and training opportunities to ensure ongoing professional development.
Requirements
  • Level of educational attainment to NVQ level 2 or equivalent experience.
  • Current driver's license and use of a car for travel across the Trust.
  • Knowledge of mental health problems and experience working with carers or in mental health.
