Your Responsibilities
As a part-time Lead Culinary Specialist, you will oversee the preparation and delivery of imaginative meals for both patients and staff at WQSEC. Your culinary skills will shine in an environment dedicated to transformative experiences for individuals undergoing epilepsy assessments and treatments.
In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting nutritious, customized meals that cater to specific dietary requirements, ensuring that every dining experience is enjoyable. You will manage kitchen supplies, conduct audits, and have the opportunity to design menus that not only satisfy but also delight our patients. Additionally, you will mentor kitchen staff, collaborate with the development manager for corporate events, and uphold the highest standards of customer service.
Work Schedule: This part-time position requires working three days within a seven-day period, with hours from 10 AM to 6 PM. Flexibility is essential, as you will need to cover for team members during annual leave and assist with corporate events to ensure the delivery of appealing meals in our conference space.
Qualifications and Skills
- Creativity and a deep understanding of food to cater to individual dietary needs.
- Essential certifications in food hygiene, health & safety, and infection control.
- Experience in mentoring and supporting culinary staff.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a similar culinary environment.
- Knowledge of Environmental Health Standards.
- Dependable and adaptable.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
