About the Role

Naught One Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Design and Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and sustainability in our product development process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and engineer new products, ensuring they meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Design and develop 3D models using Inventor, creating detailed drawings for prototype, manufacture, and rendered images as required.
  • Drive product development in overseas manufacturing locations, ensuring seamless integration with our global supply chain.
  • Manage projects to budget and schedule, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
  • Work closely with manufacturers and internal staff to ensure a smooth transition into production, creating jigs and fixtures, SOPs, and addressing any issues or queries that arise.
  • Provide engineering support for our quality team and contribute to continuous improvements with production teams.
Requirements
  • Degree, HNC, or Apprenticeship in a relevant engineering or manufacturing field (furniture experience advantageous).
  • At least 3 years of industry experience.
  • Detail-oriented problem solver with the ability to use initiative to deliver against targets.
  • Relevant technical experience with a good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes related to furniture production (upholstery knowledge preferable).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, and Adobe suite (Revit and 3D Studio Max desirable).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
