About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Naughtone Ltd. in Harrogate. As a key member of our Design and Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and sustainability in our product development process.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design partners and internal teams to develop and engineer new products, ensuring they meet and exceed client expectations.
- Design and develop 3D models using Inventor, generating drawings for prototypes, manufacture, and rendered images as required.
- Drive the development of new products in overseas manufacturing locations, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
- Manage projects from concept to launch, ensuring seamless transitions into production.
- Provide engineering support to the quality team and drive continuous improvements with production teams.
Requirements
- Degree, HNC, or Apprenticeship in a relevant engineering or manufacturing field, with experience in furniture design and manufacturing.
- 3+ years of industry experience, with a strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, and Adobe Creative Suite, with experience in Revit and 3D Studio Max a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
