Archivist for Academic and Public Engagement

We are seeking a highly skilled Archivist to join our team at the Digital Preservation Coalition. As an Archivist for Academic and Public Engagement, you will play a key role in promoting our collections and engaging with internal and external audiences.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with academic departments to increase research and teaching use of our collections
- Prepare and deliver public engagement activities to promote our collections to new and diverse audiences
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the public reading room to provide high-quality customer services
- Co-curate exhibitions and be involved in the acquisition and cataloguing of archives
- Develop online resources, digital access, and web content to widen access to our collections
Requirements:
- Passion for archives and special collections with demonstrable experience of using them for research, teaching, and public engagement
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences
- Experience of using technology to widen access to collections is an advantage
