Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke provides an emergency admissions service for men and a pathway for women from low secure to rehabilitation, including a specialist service for personality disorder. Situated on over 16 acres of landscaped grounds overlooking the Bristol Channel, our beachside location near Weston-super-Mare offers a peaceful and therapeutic environment. We provide a broad range of therapies, including CBT, Schema Therapy, EMDR & DBT.

Your Role as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) / Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)

We are seeking an experienced RMN/RNLD to join our dedicated team. You will play a vital role in delivering outstanding care and support to individuals within our hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce comprehensive written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations.
  • Collaborate closely with the management team to develop the service, conduct audits, and improve quality standards.
  • Participate in all training opportunities and engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to enhance your knowledge and promote best practices in nursing.
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete and maintained collaboratively with residents, relatives, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications within established healthcare procedures and Healthcare Commission guidelines.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current NMC registration as an RMN/RNLD.
  • A strong understanding of the latest nursing practices and a commitment to patient recovery.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
