Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a crucial role in generating qualified sales opportunities for Alteryx. As an extension of the Field Sales team, SDRs will actively engage with prospects through various channels, including responding to marketing-generated leads, nurturing inbound interest, and conducting targeted outbound prospecting.
Working closely with Account Executives, SDRs develop strategic prospecting plans for key accounts, aiming to uncover new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships. They also manage smaller deals and renewals within their assigned territories.
Responsibilities
- Generate qualified sales leads through a combination of inbound lead qualification, outbound prospecting, and marketing campaign response.
- Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to engage with potential customers across various industries and business sizes.
- Conduct in-depth research to understand prospect needs, pain points, and business objectives.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of Alteryx solutions and demonstrate how they can address customer challenges.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to ensure a seamless transition of qualified leads into the sales pipeline.
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions and progress within the CRM system.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in B2B enterprise software telesales or business development, preferably within the data analytics or technology sector.
- Proven track record of success in lead generation, qualification, and nurturing.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with prospects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales automation tools.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
Desired Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience prospecting and selling enterprise software solutions, particularly within the business intelligence or analytics domain.
